Sweden has stricter animal welfare standards than EU minimum: tail docking banned since 1988, farrowing crates banned, beak trimming banned, mandatory outdoor grazing for cattle (beteskrav), and conventional cages banned since 2004.

This information is published by Jordbruksverket, SVA, and Vaxa Sverige but is spread across PDFs, web pages, and statutory instruments (SJVFS) that AI assistants cannot query directly. This MCP server makes it all searchable.
